spring dining...

now that the weather is warmer, we'll be using the patio doors in the dining room a lot.

so, i exchanged the long farm table for my round pedestal table, with the farm style chairs, making summer trips to the deck easier.  plus, i get a different look with no money spent.

(before)

and remember my bday pillow shams?  this is where one ended up.

at  ($9.99 each), i couldn't make them cheaper...or faster.  i painted this junk store chair years ago, and it's still a favorite of mine.

while out junking, i found this little metal jar holder and filled it with kroger discounted roses and baby breath.

and when i saw this old 5' artist easel, for just $15.00, i knew i wanted to hold my big clock.  and i can take it out on the deck to paint roses, too:)

today is derek's bday and we are off for a long weekend!  thanks for stopping by!

  4. Lynn, I love it all but the clock on the easel stole my heart this morning! I have reading so much lately that involved "Time" and the use of clocks and have been amazed at the beauty of it all. Especially when I think about the word "Time". My oldest granddaughter said to me recently, "Nana, I love spending time with you". Well, there is that word TIME again! Have a great day Lynn. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  24. Everything is just gorgeous. I think I remember that you got the french doors last year? I know what you mean about pillows, sometimes they are cheaper to buy than make. I admire you for switching up the house for the season, I seem to arrange and leave, then never move!

  25. Its really pretty. I like the round table better! I love all your whites and that easel is just lovely. My easel is very similar and vintage now because I have had it since I was 17 yrs old! Seeing yours though gave me the idea to paint mine white. Spring dining is beautiful at your home. xxo
