happy spring!...

I haven’t had much time to blog.  we’ve been enjoying some family time, and some junking trips.

I found a cute ruffled apron and a couple of old shutters painted a great blue-ish green color at logan village mall in noblesville.

and I’ve been painting.
earlier, I showed you jo anne coletti’s painting book—here’s how my rose turned out.
bay is still recouping from an acl tear, and it’s been a lot of work keeping this one calm 24/7.  here she is all drugged up-bless her heart.

my husband has a 3 day weekend-yay!
hope your weekend is great!

  20. Happy Spring to you Lynn! Your roses turned out lovely. I passed up some large shutters at a thrift a while back and could have kicked myself. Called to see if they were still there a couple days later and they were gone. Live and learn, right! Hope your dog feels better soon! Enjoy your weekend!

  33. Your rose turned out beautifully!! I've been inspired to paint lately too. I'm so pleased with my latest painting - and I didn't even THINK during the painting. Maybe that's the trick - quit thinking and just create!!

  36. Lynn, such lovely junk. I would love to find some shutters like yours. That rose is certainly a work of art. You are quite accomplished and I hope little Bailey is feeling better. I know from a friend that it is a long haul with that type of injury. I am hoping to come out of the dark ages and get an Iphone soon so I can take some of those watercolors pics. Your's are wonderful...Happy Week..Judy

  39. Hi Lynn, I have that same book but I have a bad habit of falling back on the roses I have painted for years. I want to learn her method as I do like how they turn out. I need to take an entire day and just paint and paint and paint them.
Yours turned out gorgeous, keep up the good work. I love that quilt. I may have to hunt it down at Target. Perfect color on those shutters.
