another faux project,--you might remember this quote from an earlier post. after reading lucy's post yesterday, i played around with picmonkey.
here's what i did. -- first, grab a free chalkboard background download.
then, i uploaded the chalkboard background into picmonkey and added the wreath, fading the wreath a bit.
i love this wreath, which can be found in the christmas theme section, under wreathery. but there are tons of free images to use on picmonkey-so be sure to check them out:)
but, i don't have that, so, i saved my design to my computer.
i downloaded the "janda stylish script font here and added the text to the design using photoshop. if you don't have photoshop-- here is a free program- gimp- you can use, to add the text.
these can be printed out and added to frames, for papercrafting, like tags, labels, cards or used on your blog, ect.

love this!!

That looks great, Lynn! I want to do a faux chalkboard with some black foam board. I just need to find a stencil I really, really like, since I don't want to have to change it out too often. Although, it would just be the foam board that would be changed.
ReplyDeleteI love it . . . and aren't you a clever gal :)
ReplyDeleteI just looked at picmoney this last weekend for the first time, I would love to upgrade, but it is a little steep, love your wreath, I did not find the clip art yet, headed back to look!
ReplyDeleteOh, so excited you plan on attending the dress form ball!

ReplyDeleteLove the idea of faux chalkboard art! With my lack of computer skills, it would probably be quicker for me to actually draw the letters with chalk. :@
