I’m moving back outside for this post. my garden is pretty much dead:( this little chair was found without a seat, so I plopped some flowers into it and I’ve been babying it along.
when I get tired of decorative things in the house, they go to the garden. this old shelf has a tin center, and I’m hoping it starts rusting-(IF we ever get rain). I wrapped some old lace around the wreath, and added one of my clay pots.
old china plates are hanging on one section of the fence, next to the garden fireplace.
hope your weekend is fun! thanks for visiting:)

Love your chair with the plant, Lynn! I know, my flowers look pathetic. The sad thing is that I do water them especially during the heat wave. The only thing still looking good is the fern I have in an urn near our front door. I think I need some tropical plants to deal with this heat wave!
ReplyDeleteYikes, love those plates in the garden. I can see them in my home on a wall. Love how you have gone outside with them.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea with the tin shelf and the plates. Love the chair and your plant is amazing. Everything looks terrible here, way too hot. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteyour flowers are so gorgeous!! and LOVE that wonderful shelf you put together. I'd love to come visit your inspiring garden! xo
ReplyDeleteThat little chair is just adorable with those pretty flowers Lynn! Love how you hang up decorative items outside...with the wind we get here they would all end up 'decorating' our neighbors yards (not so sure they'd appreciate that LOL)!
ReplyDeleteI love the chair with the flowers and have something very similar in my front yard. Most of our grass is brown and dead and I think we've lost a lot of plants; even with watering. This summer has been so hot and dry. I absolutely love the plates on the fence, too!

I love your garden decorations, Lynn! I never thought to add things from the house. I think the plates hanging on the fence are darling! :)
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
I have just started doing that too. Putting stuff in the yard. I love the idea..Hope you have a great day!
ReplyDeleteOh well done- looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteI love that red chair - and you have the perfect plant on it definately - so much vibrant pretty colour!
Oh Lynn, in love with your red chair and the beautiful flowers! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteLove how you're using things outdoors. The tin looks really cool and the plates hanging is a great idea! You're so creative, Love this post!

I think those flowers are perfect in that red chair! So gorgeous--love the waterfall effect! I love the pops of color on the shelf too. And...sorry to hear about your garden. :-( We're seven inches below normal rainfall here in SC. It's bad everywhere...
ReplyDeleteI adore that chair!!
ReplyDeletexox
I've got 2 of those chairs in black that I keep on our front porch during the summer months, but yours is so much cuter with the chippy red paint!
ReplyDeleteI love the way you've accessorized your fence. Now you've got me thinking....if I nail everything I can find to our fence I won't be able to see the hideous cranberry color!!!
Hi Lynn, I know what you mean about NO rain!! I'm slowly reducing the number of plants I'm trying to keep alive. But the one you've placed in that cute chair looks like it's thriving! Keep it up. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, Mary Alice
Oh- It looks just lovely. That chair is beautiful but the flowers really MAKE it! Love the plates on the fence, too. Great ideas- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI am not a fan of red--actually for years I would allow no red in the house! But I keep seeing all this cute red stuff and I actually like red with aqua..my family will think I have really lost it if I start doing red:) and I just might. :) Love that chair!
ReplyDeleteMy plants are dying too:( But I have a few planters that I am babying just like yours. Your chair and planter look awesome. I love that you hung plates on the fence! I want to see your house...everything I've seen looks so great!!! Have a nice weekend!
ReplyDeleteI am just laughing to myself in amazement :)
ReplyDeleteI am fairly new to the blogging world and the creativity out there astounds me. Plates on a garden fence! Sometimes I feel like I have entered a fairy tale worthy of a movie situation when I visit a blog and yours is one of them
LOVE IT!!! :)
I love the chair and the flwoers. Both are so gorgeous. I love the plates on the fence. If that was in the New Yok/New Jersey are lastnight the hail would have broken them.
ReplyDeleteCynthia
So pretty! They just said on the national news that this heat will last through October! I am moving to Alaska! :)

ReplyDeleteJennelise
That's a great looking plant, i know, this heat has really done in my outside plants...Water, what, I have to water them?
ReplyDeleteCarol
Soooo adorable!!!! I love that the chair is red!! That shelf is FABulous!!!! I love it, and I love that you added it outside! Now I want to put in a fence! :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the chair with the flowers. I've been wanting do something fun out on my patio. You've just given me an idea on how to add some greenery. Your ideas rock!!!
ReplyDeleteThe chair and flowers is so pretty and I too like to take things outside (even if just for summer) to hang on the fence, place on the deck or in the garden.
ReplyDeleteI love that you have plates hanging on your fence! Everything you do is just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLynn, the plates on the fence are fantastic. The unexpected finish and pattern are completely wonderful out there. You always have such great ideas. That chair is wonderful with the flowers. Good thinking!
ReplyDeleteLiz
Lynn, your garden photos are so pretty. I love the plates on the fence. And the flowers in the red seat look really healthy. My garden is dead too ... except for the veggie garden which we keep watering. I have a few zinnias that are surviving somehow. It's not been a good year for flowers.
ReplyDeleteI meant to ask if you got a new header. I don't remember seeing it before. It's really cute.
ReplyDeleteHi Lynn,
ReplyDeleteI finally posted pics of my crib daybed I mentioned to you sometime ago.. Check out my post to see it! Have a great week ahead..
Very cool. I used to make jewelry for a living, and have begun digging out some of my old supplies. I have some stamps I need to find...Thanks for the youtube link. I'll watch it!
